Tea Stall

The Westerham Scout Tea Stall operates on Sunday afternoons at Hosey Hill Common from May through to September. This is a vital fund-raising activity and relies on the support of parents not only to set up and man the stall, but also to help out by occasionally baking a cake.

The afternoon begins usually at about 1.30pm when the water containers are filled up at the Scout HQ. You then drive the minibus up to Hosey Hill where you set up the tent, put the kettle on to boil and lay out all your delicious cakes and goodies! There are a good number of regular visitors who drive out to Westerham in the expectation of a fine cuppa and a slice of cake! Not only are you raising funds for the group, you are also providing a public service. Last orders are normally served at around 5 - 5.30pm, depending on the weather.

Although it can be quite hard work, it is a very rewarding experience.
