Tree Planting at Hosey Hill - 15-06-2008On Sunday 15th June, the Westerham Scout Group met at Hosey Hill to celebrate Geoff Kindon's life and contribution to scouting in Westerham. Sadly Geoff passed away in September 2006 and in order to remember his service and commitment to scouting, a silver birch tree was planted in his memory. Geoff was a stalwart supporter of the Tea Stall and so it is fitting that his contribution will be remembered so close to the place where he spent many a Sunday afternoon setting up the tent, serving cake and teas in order to raise funds for a cause which was so important to both him and his wife Pat. It was pleasing to see so many Beavers, Cubs and Scouts as well as family friends watch, as Pat finished the planting of the tree. more news articles... | Upcoming eventsLatest newsJumble Sale |
